The Nordics and Latin America: Sustainable Mining
The 2nd annual conference "The Nordics and Latin America: Sustainable Mining" will take place on October 15-16, 2025 in Luleå University of Technology, located in Luleå, Sweden. In addition to the 2-days conference, site visits will be available during October 14 and October 17, 2025.

The topic of the conference is mining decarbonization from the perspective of mining operators of nordic countries and Latin America. During the previous version in 2024 mining operators such as Boliden, CODELCO, BHP, Glencore and Anglo American shared their scope 1, 2 and 3 technology developments and targets.
The role of academia, suppliers, and both public and private institutions of both regions are part of the agenda. During 2024, VTT (Finland), Swedish Mining Innovation (Sweden), ICMM, University of Chile and others shared valuable insights.
